Degrees and Certifications:
I am excited to teach third grade for the seventh time at Target Range School! I've worked in education since 2008 and am an alumnus of the University of Montana. My first Bachelor of Science was in Forestry Recreation Management, which fit well with my previous full-time job as a fly fishing guide. I had the opportunity to guide in Alaska, Vermont and Montana for over 20 years. I have a deep love of the natural sciences and history and find that I transfer my life experiences in the outdoors into my teaching. My personal interests include spending time in the outdoors, gardening, playing music on my guitar, restoring instruments and antique hunting. This summer I spent time with my wife and daughter Brynn who is six months old. We worked on our small farm, baled hay and guided fly fishing trips. I look forward to meeting my new third and fourth grade students, their families and to a great 2020-2021 school year! Although the year may look different as a distance learning format, we will work hard, learn lots of new things and be stronger getting through a new experience together.
