About me

I was born and raised all over Montana, graduated from Montana state university in Bozeman in 1996 and have been teaching preschool through 2nd grade ever since. I love spending time with my husband and 2 boys (Jason works at AMC and Erik headed to Oregon State Univ). In my time away from school, I enjoy reading, sewing, camping, and playing games with my family.

How we can work together

As students become more capable and independent, it is important that we work together to make sure they are supported and/or challenged.

  • In second grade,  we don't assign homework,  but encourage parents to spend quality time together with their kids and read for enjoyment together.  We recommend 15-20 minutes every day as possible.

  • We don't generally have a need for volunteers in the classroom in 2nd grade,  but have occasional projects,  parties or field trips where parents are welcome to volunteer.

  • We will send home weekly newsletters with "What is happening in 2nd grade" so you can stay on top of what they are learning in the classroom.

  • We also use the Remind app as a communication tool. My remind code is:  @arm202425.  If you have questions you can send them there or email me.   For immediate needs, you can also call the school and they can get a message to me quickly.

If you ever have questions or concerns,  please let me know!   When we all work together, our students are more likely to be successful!
