    Safety and Learning Bond

The Target Range School board last spring launched a public engagement effort to gather ideas on how the school building could be improved to better serve our students.

Activities included student and school staff input sessions; one-on-one interviews with parents, staff and Target Range neighborhood residents; a community night, and an online survey of Target Range voters.

This community engagement process identified these priority items:

    • Safety improvements.
    • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) improvements.
    • Band/orchestra/choir facilities.
    • Cafeteria/multi-purpose space.
    • Open dynamic learning environments.

On Feb. 18, the Target Range School Board of Trustees voted to move forward with a Safety and Learning Bond to fund improvements in identified priority areas.

Target Range School District voters will decide May 7 whether to approve the 20-year, $8.47 million bond.

The proposed Safety and Learning Bond will benefit ALL students at Target Range School.
