I grew up in Wolf Point, Montana on the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Indian Reservation. I attended college at Montana State University and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduation I moved to Missoula to teach 1st grade here at Target Range. This will be my second year being a part of the amazing TR staff! How we can work together
Your child's educational and social emotional wellbeing is always first priority. Never hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Home to school connection is an important piece of every child's education. Encouraging your child to gain a love for reading has endless benefits. Set time aside to read nightly with your child or time for them to read independently.
In third grade, we don't assign homework, but encourage parents to spend quality time together with their kids and read for enjoyment together. We recommend 20 minutes every day as possible.
We don't generally have a need for volunteers in the classroom in 3rd grade, but have occasional projects, parties, or field trips where parents are welcome to volunteer.
We will send home monthly newsletters to help you stay on top of what they are learning in the classroom and upcoming events.
I also use the Remind app as a communication tool. My remind code is: @lacrawford. If you have questions, you can send them there or email me. For immediate needs, you can also call the school and they can get a message to me quickly.
Lastly, Friday Folders are sent home weekly with classwork, graded assignments, art, etc.
