About me

Hi I am Mrs. Fackler and I am so excited to be part of the Target Range Kindergarten team! Kindergarten is a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I was born and raised right here in good ole’ Missoula, MT. I was even a Target Range Tiger myself. It is an honor teaching at the same school where I learned so much. I love teaching Kindergarten; it is my world! I have my Bachelors and Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Montana. I am happily married to my best friend, Mark and together we have three boys; Blake, Blaine and Tate. My three boys are TR tigers too! Being a parent is an amazing adventure that I wouldn’t trade for anything! It has also helped me to become a better teacher. I love teaching Kindergarten and am excited to continue to instill a love for learning in my students. My classroom is a place where students can learn, grow and succeed.

What you can expect in kindergarten this year

Kindergarten is an exciting learning experience for all students. We love learning through play and hands on experiences. We partake in many field trips throughout the year including Blue Mtn, Benson's Farm, The University Of MT, A Carousel for Missoula, and the Missoula Public Library. In Kindergarten students we will learn their letters and sounds and make the transition to becoming beginning readers. We will learn sight words, digraphs and how to blend and segment words. In Kindergarten we build our phonemic awareness skills and grow beginning writers. Students will be able to draw, dictate, label and write about events. In math we will learn a solid foundation of numbers 1-10 and begin addition and subtraction. We will also learn how to count and write our numbers. Kindergarteners also learn and practice speaking and listening skills and how to follow rules, routines and directions. Finally, we learn how to be a part of a school community and what it means to ROAR!
