Wednesday, August 27 - First Day of School
Grades 1-2; 8:20am-3:00pm
Grade 3; 8:05am-3:00pm
Grades 4-8; 8:00am-3:30pm
*Kindergarten will also start on Wednesday, August 27 but will have a Transitional Start.

This is a message from your Target Range Parent Teacher Organization ("PTO"):
We hope you are all settling into the swing of things now that school is back in session! If you have not already signed up to be a member of the Target Range PTO and you would like to, please click here to sign up.
We would like to remind you that our first PTO meeting of the year will take place next week, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 8:30 am. Weather permitting, we will meet on the grassy area with picnic tables to the east side of the building (to the side of the middle school wing). Come join your 2025-2026 PTO Officers for coffee, breakfast treats, and to learn all about the fun events planned for this school year and how you can get involved!
PTO Back to School Hoedown
Our first exciting PTO event of the year is the annual Back to School Hoedown on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 pm behind the school on the orange playground! Expect lively music, a potluck BBQ, and fun games and events for the whole family! The Target Range PTO will provide the main course, and then the wonderful families of Target Range will provide other items by grade level. See below for what you can bring to share at this wonderful event!
Kindergarten - drinks
1st grade - plates
2nd grade - utensils & salad
3rd grade - side dish
4th grade - chips/crackers
5th grade - desserts
6th grade - side dish
7th grade - drinks
8th grade - utensils
PTO - grilling hot dogs
If you would like to get involved by donating to the Target Range PTO, you can do so via Venmo. Our PTO handle on Venmo is: @ptotargetrange. Your donations will go toward supporting PTO events this year such as the Hoedown, the Trunk-or-Treat, the Missoula Children's Theater Play at our school, and more. Your donations will also go toward such things as feeding teachers during parent/teacher conferences and funding special teacher requests.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our first annual bike rodeo/bonfire on Thursday, May 29th at 6:00. Bring your bike and helmet and be ready to have a fantastic time. Hot dogs will be served starting at 6:00 PM. We will have bike stations around the track that you can visit. Be sure to get your passport stamped for a chance to win some prizes. At 7:00 PM, we will light the bonfire and enjoy some s'mores and live music. Please remember to bring a chair. We hope to see you tomorrow night

Our wrestling information meeting is tonight after the first practice. Plan to start at 5:35pm in the TR library. Boys and girls in grades 6-8 are welcome to join.
Plan to attend if your student has not participated in any athletics yet. We will review eligibility, participation requirements, practice expectations, and travel.

Dear Target Range Families,
We are happy to share that the days missed due to the plumbing issue will not need to be made up. At our January board meeting, the trustees officially declared December 18th an emergency closure due to the plumbing issue. Each year, we are allowed one emergency closure, and this designation ensures that we do not need to make up the missed day.
Thanks to the additional time built into our calendar, no major schedule changes are needed at this time. However, if we experience a snow day later in the year, this could change, and we will keep you informed.

Congratulations on your retirement, Scott Willson! For 27 years, Scott faithfully delivered milk to Target Range School, contributing to the daily routines of our students and staff. His career as a milk delivery driver spanned an impressive 34 years. Beyond his professional service, Scott also enjoyed seeing his three children attend Target Range School. Thank you, Scott, for your dedication and lasting connection to our school community!
